CropTopSari Inspiration!

Help! I need a sari blouse stitched asap. Correction, you need a crop top!

Luckily for you, crop tops can be easily found in stores and are a great way to either bring back life to an old sari or get a ready to wear blouse when all your tailors are busy!

This summer I grabbed two crop tops from Garage, one in black the other in white.
They were in a beautiful net fabric and the perfect sari blouse length. If you prefer sleeveless blouses you can cut off the sleeves or tuck them in as long they don't make your shoulders look bulky.

I paired each of the crop tops with vibrant saris that complimented the 'blouse'.

The white crop top went beautifully with this light/royal blue Japanese sari. Pearl earrings and accessories completed this look perfectly!

The black crop top complimented the stunning fuschia/blue printed sari. I accessorized this look with beautiful gold and silver round earrings and pinned a similar style ring into the hairstyle!

If you happen to find a crop top you absolutely love, go find a plain sari, throw on a bold necklace and you have yourself a runway look.

Another creative way of using a crop top is as a lengha blouse! Neha Dhupia gorgeously pulls this off in the outfit below.

We Bringin' Sexy Back!

Sari Blouse Inspiration- here are a few ideas to spice up your sari collection this summer!

Few weeks back we posted a Long Sleeve Sari Blouse inspiration post. Here is one designed by me. To enhance the blouse I added an old necklace from my collection!

Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway at the Oscars wore necklaces backwards. Something that's simple and sexy to incorporate with deep back sari blouses. For an example, check out the pastel yellow and silver sari on the right in the picture below.

Other items you an add to glamourize your sari and sari blouses are hair chains, hair fasteners, flowers, bows, belts and big brooches. These can be stitched directly on to your blouse or attached on occasion. For example, some hair fasteners can directly be clipped onto your sari blouse, allowing you to use it again as a hairpiece or with another sari. Adding something to your blouse is fairly inexpensive, you can find many beautiful options are Forever21, Claire's, Ardene or even from your own personal collection!

Here are some pretty ideas I've put together. If you have questions on how to attach them to your sari feel free to leave a comment below.

Hope this was helpful ladies. Tag us in your new sari blouse at #webringinsexyback. If you have any other great ideas add your comments below!

Stay Fabulous!

Save the Wedding- How to make sure Bridezilla doesn't show up!

My beautiful friend Parul is getting married next month and I’m super excited! The bridal party has been doing everything possible to make Parul feel like the princess she is! We’ve been called the best bridesmaids in the world and here’s one of the reasons.

If you're looking to take your bridesmaid duty seriously, make this Wedding Day Survival Kit for the soon to be bride (and bridesmaids)!

Here are some things you can include:

Straws: To keep that lipstick in place.
Water Bottle: Keep hydrated, it's going to be a long wonderful day.
Chocolate Bar/Snack: Keep the Brides favourite chocolate bar on hand. Often Bride's don't have an appetite for samosas & pakoras so this comfort food will give her the energy rush she may need.
Tic-Tac/Mint: Great way to freshen up. Ditch the gum to avoid any candid pictures of you chewing!
Advil/Tylenol/Reactine: This will help with headaches from pre-wedding functions.
Tide to Go: Because someone is bound to drop some red chutney on themselves.
Small Sewing Kit- Needle & Thread: For any unexpected repairs.
Crazy Glue: Incase anyone’s shoe heel breaks during pictures in the forest or a jewel falls off your tikka.
Pen & Paper: Maybe to make a “Do Not Enter” sign for the bridal room.
Lash Glue: To keep your tikka in place on your forehead.
Kleenex: Stash them everywhere and anywhere possible.
